What’s on in March?

New members plus baptism this Sunday

We are very excited to be welcoming ten new members this Sunday.  We’re even more excited to be baptizing Mike Celis after the morning service. As we don’t have the necessary facilities the baptism will be at First Baptist church (just a few blocks away from the Vancity Theatre) starting at 1:15 pm.

Rhys will preach on Trinity Central being “A Praying People” at our morning service in Yaletown and Benny will preach on the same topic at our our evening service at UBC. Come and worship with us as we celebrate new members and baptism!

Get God’s grace on the big screen for 3 weeks in March

Many of us have found Terry Virgo’s talks about God’s lavish grace towards us to be truly life-changing. Terry is the founder of New Frontiers, the wider church family to which we belong, and this message of God’s grace is deeply embedded in the New Frontiers “DNA”. Terry isn’t (yet) available to give the talks live so we are doing the next best thing: showing the talks on video on March 12th, 19th and 26th.

You won’t want to miss it but if you do then you can find the videos here.

Pray for the Alpha Weekend Away

Both of our Alpha courses in Mt. Pleasant and in Point Grey near UBC are going very well with lots of fun and good conversation being had by all. March 19-21 is the Alpha Weekend at Bowen Island, which is always the highlight of the Alpha course. Please pray for our guests and our leaders that everyone would have a fun and meaningful time together.

A new normal: become naturally supernatural

We are tickled pink to welcome our friends from Kings Church Horsham to our soggy shores later this month. Lead elder Andy Robinson and his wife, Hazel, are bringing a team of six other people to serve and equip us for a week.

Amongst other things, the team will be leading a free one-day conference entitled “Pursuing His Presence” at West Coast Christian Fellowship on Saturday, April 1st. The good folks from WCCF and perhaps one or two other local churches will be joining us so please save the date in your calendar!
