As the fall term of LifeGroups continues, it’s great to hear of new people trying out groups.
Sunday mornings are great, and worshipping together as a whole church family is a highlight of the week. But building relationships takes more than small talk over coffee after the service! That’s why we’re so passionate about building healthy LifeGroup communities!
It’s in those relationships that we can share our lives, the highs and the lows, and help one another in all that life brings our way. It’s where we can challenge one another, spur each other on, share our concerns and get personal prayer support. Our LifeGroups are where life happens!
So it’s important to find the right group, one where you feel the potential for those relationships to grown. So every term we encourage people who haven’t yet settled into a LifeGroup to use the first three weeks as a ‘transfer window’, taking the time to try out a couple of groups. Look for a group not based on its location of convenience – but on who are the people you click with. One where you can see yourself building community together.
Once you’ve found a group – stick with it. It’s through consistently spending time together that relationships form. It won’t happen overnight! So commit to a group and aim not only to be at the evening meetings as often as you can, but meeting up with individuals from time to time too.
